ABOUT US
The activities of HT started from humble volunteer work by two Syrians and one Japanese encountered in Turkey after Syria War and sympathized in their visions. Each of them had been working in humanitarian relief for Syrian refugees in remote villages located in a boarder area and facing thousands Syrian families living in the minimum condition. Especially we had received many voices mentioning there had been no school for Syrian children even though they only wanted to study. There had no schools for Syrian children in villages outside of camps, and other organizations’ assistance had been concentrated only in the city center. The children had been out of school for years since the war stated in Syria in 2011. Concerning about this situation, we started to create an access to basic education for Syrian children in remote farming villages. Since we began our volunteer activities in March 2016, hundreds children who have no other opportunity to study reached non-formal education class run by HT.
Recent projects are based in Turkey in which we're registered as an official NGO. Our activities are mainly supported by Japanese charitable people.
The board of directors in Turkey consists of 7 members. Most of them have worked in local/international humanitarian organizations for years. Our activities are mainly supported by Japanese charitable people and foundations. and we are also been registered in Japan As NGO .and 4 Japanese has joined the Organization as Board members.
Through the activities with Syrian children without any other supports, we realized the need in protective and sustainable assistance for vulnerable children neglected by international society all over the world and we started activities in Southeast Asia (Cambodia) and Africa (Sudan). And Hopeful Touch Has registered in Sudan As international Organizations and we will be running our projects over there in 2019.
